Children and Youth Faith Formation
Educating our children and youth is something we take very seriously at Faith Des Peres Presbyterian Church. We want them to learn the basics of the Christian faith and the Bible while having fun, too. We also want our children to be an active part of our faith community and feel at home. At Faith Des Peres, our kids and youth are a part of our faith community, not segmented. We value them and their participation.
Weekday Faith Formation: Children and Youth
We partner with First Presbyterian Church- Kirkwood to offer LOGOS programming for elementary through middle school aged children each Wednesday evening. Please contact the church office for more information on how to get involved. First Presbyterian is located at 100 E. Adams Ave, Kirkwood, MO 63122
Confirmation Class
Confirmation class is offered for youth in 7th and 8th grades who are ready to confirm the promises their parents made at their baptisms and become voting members of the church. Confirmation class covers a wide range of subjects including: God, Jesus Christ, Discipleship, and what it means to be a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Confirmation can be offered through partnership with a local congregation or directly through Faith Des Peres.

Adults
Faith Des Peres offers Faith Formation for adults in two ways:
1) Before Worship: Each first and third Sunday of the month at 9:30, Faith Formation offers a class for adults looking to grow in their faith. We utilize videos and discussions through The Work of the People to explore different relevant topics. Currently, our study is focused on Gratitude and Dianna Butler Bass’s videos help guide us
2) Second Tuesday Evenings: Each second Tuesday of the month, Faith Formation offers a potluck and education starting at 6:00. Past topics have included reproductive rights, gun violence, racial justice, and faith and science.
