Weddings at Faith Des Peres
The members of Faith Des Peres are pleased to share the sanctuaries of the Clayton Road Church and Old Meeting House with those in the community who wish to make their vows in a church. We will work with you to make your wedding ceremony a meaningful part of your celebration.
Clayton Road Church
The Clayton Road church offers a beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies (see photo above)... a blank canvas for the wedding party.
Faith Des Peres' Pastor officiates all ceremonies at FDP and the Old Church.
We encourage you to worship with us on Sunday at 10:30 am to get an idea of how the church looks, hear the acoustics, meet the Pastor, and hear the pipe organ and/or piano being played.
Faith Des Peres church seats 250-300 people comfortably.
Old Des Peres Church
The Old Des Peres Church (Old Meeting House) has a lot of character, and many have inquired about having weddings there. Though we have performed beautiful ceremonies at the church, it is usually recommended only for very small ceremonies or renewals. Because the Old Des Peres Church truly is considered a historic building, one has to remember that it does not have many "modern" amenities that couples would usually appreciate, such as bathrooms, heating/air conditioning, or parking (normally in the nearby subdivisions or along Geyer Road). And though it has a pipe organ, it is very old, like the church, so we usually bring in an electric keyboard.
The Old Des Peres Church seats about 60 people comfortably..

There are many activities on this calendar, not all which would affect a wedding, so scroll through and see what other activities are on your wedding date. If your date and time are available, contact the church office to verify. Once the wedding is confirmed with the Pastor and Session, and the contract and deposit are received, we will add your wedding to the church's master calendar. Can a non-member get married at Faith Des Peres?
Yes, the members of Faith Des Peres are pleased to share the sanctuaries of the Clayton Road Church and Old Des Peres Church with those in the community who wish to make their vows in a church. We will work with you to make your wedding ceremony a meaningful part of your celebration.
I would love to get married at your church, but I would like my own pastor to conduct the ceremony. Is that possible?
The pastor of Faith Des Peres Presbyterian Church officiates for all weddings at either FDP location. If you have specific concerns, you should discuss those directly with the pastor. Email the church office and we'll put you in touch with the pastor.
What type of approval process do I need to go through?
All weddings need to be approved by the Pastor and the Session of Faith Des Peres, which ordinarily meets the third Thursday of every odd month. You must have a first conversation with the Pastor before it is taken before Session. Again, if you have specific concerns, you may discuss them directly with the Pastor. Email the church office and we'll put you in touch with the pastor.
How much does it cost to get married at Faith Des Peres?
These fees are currently under review. Email the church office and we'll put you in touch with the Pastor for the current fee information. The cost for a wedding at Faith Des Peres Church, whether you get married at the Clayton Road (main) Church or the Old Des Peres Church (Geyer Road) is the same. It is an all-inclusive payment, providing for the cost of the facility, the pastor, music director/organist, wedding coordinator and the cleaning service.
When are payments due?
The initial non-refundable deposit is due immediately after meeting with the Pastor in order to reserve the church. The balance will be due no later than 21 days before the ceremony. You may request to pay the balance in installments.
